The High School Band performs a collection of colonial tunes each year at the annual Patriots' Day celebration in Somerville. This unique event highlights the cultural heritage of Boston and its role in the American Revolution. Families attending the Colonial Fair have the opportunity to play games, eat food, and even witness history from the American colonial period. The famous ride of Paul Revere from Boston to Lexington passes through this event as well. The band has performed Patriotic tunes such as "Yankee Doodle" and "Chester" as well as spirited Sea Shanties like "Boston Harbor." The event is an opportunity to educate the community about its role in history and enjoy lively entertainment.
